Dataset description

The Budget of the European Union 2013 was adopted by the European Parliament on 12 December 2012 and published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 66, on 8 March 2013. The dataset presented here contains two elements: 1. Data in xml – expenditure for the 10 EU institutions covered by the budget 2. Metadata in xml. The data is organised by budget lines. The lines with figures contain information for: 1. The budget year, in this case 2013, 2. The year before, 2012, 3. The outturn for 2011. Each line with figures has a reference to the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)/ Political Category (CATPOL) (for example catpol="1.1.31"). In the metadata file it is possible to find the systematic descriptions of the MFF/CATPOL headings. Following the URI below it is possible to find the Budget of the European Union in its different stages (Draft Budget, Line-by-line, final Budget, Draft Amending Budgets and Draft Amending letters).
