Acid sulphate soils 1:250 000

The information product ‘Acid sulphate soils 1:250 000’ describes the probability of acid sulphate soils occurring in four categories on a map basis; Big, Moderate, Small and Very Small. The maps are based on terrain surveys, the results of laboratory analyses and the interpretation of aerogeophysics data and soil maps. Acid sulphate soils 1:250,000 map observation points show the presence of sulphate soils and the depth of the sulfide layer above the ground. There are two types of observation points: research points and mapping points. A more detailed description of the research points has been made and a point card containing observation data has been linked to them. The point card hyperlink is also included in the filegeodatabase level of the observation point. The preliminary interpretation map of acid sulphate soils presents an interpretation of the ranges of acid sulphate soils in Finland using quantitative multivariate modelling.
