Dataset description

Every six years, the Member States of the European Union report to the Commission on the implementation of the Birds Directive. The report includes an assessment of the population size of all species covered by the Directive and the trend in population size. The evaluation for 2008-2012 was carried out in 2013 and for the years 2103-2018 in 2019. The information reported shows, among other things, the effectiveness of the protection measures taken. Data on nesting, migratory and wintering populations are reported separately. The dataset contains the most relevant data reported to the EU Commission for each species. The data include information on species whose report is accompanied by a map and whose data is not protected. There are no data on migratory birds. Bird penetration was no longer reported in the 2019 reporting. Birds, the 2019 Birds Directive reporting contains one spatial dataset: — Bird outbreaks, Birds Directive reporting 2019 Birds, 2013 report on the Birds Directive contains two spatial data sets: — Birds outbreaks, Birds Directive reporting 2013 — Birds distribution, Birds Directive reporting 2013 This information is part of the reporting material submitted to the EU Commission. The report includes evaluation of population size and population size trends of the bird species. Efficiency of protection measures can be deduced from the report. The data from the 2013 reporting contains both range and distribution of the species. The data from the 2019 reporting contains only range of the species. This information is part of the reporting material submitted to the EU Commission. The location data are based on the presence of the species 10 km x 10 km on the map screen. The presence of the species on the map screen has been verified by experts. Processing history: This information is a copy of the material submitted to the EU.
