Building Inventories of the Provincial Museum of Southwest Finland

The building inventory collects basic information about the built environment in the area. The aim is to collect the inventory data comprehensively, at least for properties whose main building was built before the 1940s. The inventory examines the appearance of buildings, antiquarian preservation, representativeness and the history of the property’s settlement. Value inventories are made for all invented villages and other clear areas, such as cockroaches or industrial areas. Inventories of both real estate and value areas include a summary of the characteristics and cultural historical value. These summaries have been taken to the location and southwestern location. In its entirety, the inventory data is kept at the Provincial Museum of Southwest Finland. The aim is to produce comprehensive data throughout Southwest Finland. The material was produced at the Provincial Museum of Southwest Finland in cooperation with the municipalities and the Association of Southwest Finland. Inventory data are continuously utilised, for example, in land use planning.
