City of Helsinki Business Interview Survey

The data includes the data from a company interview survey commissioned by the City of Helsinki and conducted by Taloustutkimus Oy for three years (2016, 2018 and 2020). The data contains the answers of more than three thousand Helsinki-based companies to questions that explain the company’s views on the city’s business policy and Helsinki as a location, the satisfaction of companies with the services provided by the city, and the companies’ recruitment and migration intentions. Of the three thousand answers, about 1,000 are for each reference year. Respondents from different years have mainly represented different companies. The data has been collected by interviewing business representatives over the phone. The duration of one interview was approximately 20 minutes. The interviews in 2016 were conducted between 28.9 September and 25 October 2016, interviews in 2018 from 22 November 2018 to 4 January 2019 and interviews in 2020 between 29.9 September and 3 November 2020. The names, business IDs and years of establishment of the respondent companies have been removed from the data as well as the data on the persons responsible. Information on open answers has been deleted to enable them to be identified.
