Cycling in the City of Turku

Cycling is currently an important means of transport in Turku as public transport. The importance of walking and cycling will be even more pronounced in future congested urban transport. The greater the number of journeys made by walking and cycling, the less traffic congestion and the smoother the traffic is. However, entering the city centre with a bike is still a challenge, as there are challenges in finding a safe bike stop. This material will contain general bike stops in the maintenance of the city of Turku. Information about bike stops will be available e.g. whether the stop is covered or not, the type of scaffolding, the year of purchase, the possibility of hull locking and the number of bike seats at the stop.
