Dataset description

# rata.digitraffic.fi The source of open data for rail traffic is the Finnish Transport Agency’s infrastructure capacity management [LIIKE system](https://www.liikennevirasto.fi/ammattiliikenne-raiteilla/liikennesuunnittelu/liike), from which data is extracted to the open data interface. The open data interface is REST-type and contains several data types. Queries can be made to the interface that the interface responds to with a JSON-shaped result set. ## Data Types The interface provides both train schedule and assembly information. The schedule information is divided into three parts: * real-time traffic situation * future schedules * historical data, i.e. actual knowledge of trains already in the past * train location and speed information
