Dataset description

Nuuka open API, which provides energy consumption data for the City of Helsinki’s service properties, is a channel through which the user can retrieve information about properties owned by the City of Helsinki and their energy consumption. The interface is completely open and does not require identification. The interfaces are divided into real estate data retrieval and energy data retrieval. You can search based on the name of the property, the purpose of the property and the property number of the property. Properties are able to list and search for more detailed information about them. There is a difference between buildings and buildings: one property may contain several buildings, such as a school and a kindergarten. When searching for information about the property, the information on the buildings contained in the property will also be returned. The coordinate system used is the WGS84 Web Mercator (EPSG:3857). You can search for energy data at monthly, daily and hourly levels. The availability and accuracy of data varies by object. The oldest data is on an annual basis, starting in 1980. As a rule, the most accurate, hourly data will be available from 2015. There are four possible reporting groups: electricity, heating, water and cooling. All energy data is displayed at the property’s main meter level. Monthly data can also be retrieved when normalised. The data is updated once a day. Details of the different interfaces can be found in [Swagger documentation](https://helsinki-openapi.nuuka.cloud/swagger). The data is returned in JSON format. There are gaps in the stock’s data. Gaps in time series can occur at all levels and throughout the covered timeframe. The accuracy of data validation depends on the energy type and the source of the data, which in turn depends on the time and destination. In principle, data is the more accurate the newer it is. The most recent data is also monitored and corrected in case of errors **Example searches** 1. List all properties: https://helsinki-openapi.nuuka.cloud/api/v1.0/Property/List?Customer=Helsinki 2. Apply for the daily energy consumption (ReportingGroup=Electricity) for the property Hakaniemi Market Hall (PropertyName=1000 Hakaniemi Market Hall) for 2019: https://helsinki-openapi.nuuka.cloud/api/v1.0/EnergyData/Daily/ListByProperty?Customer=Helsinki&Record=LocationName&SearchString=1000%20Hakaniemen%20kauppahalli&ReportingGroup=Electricity&StartTime=2019-01-01&EndTime=2019-12-31
