Functional category (road register data type 130)

The data cover the road network maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency. The functional road classification according to both the current situation and the core plan of the road network in force will be entered in the Road Register. The current category of roads in the Road Register will be changed and new roads will be classified according to the implementation of the frame plan. The road class on the street is the same as the road link it extends. Streets that are included separately in the Road Register are classified as ‘regions’ because they make the network of dominance, parent and suburban roads complete.
