Dataset description

Gears are a part of a track where the track branches into two or more tracks. The gear can be electrically rotated or reversible by muscle force. The gears are indicated by the support layer, gear type, mounting, GOST-compliant fleet, heating, gear tag, gear manoeuvre, speed through the outlying track, private track connection gear, reversible side, new/recycled, speed through the straight track of gear, safety gear, date of commissioning, year of installation, operating mode, PÖLKTYS and additional information, as well as the initial and final position of the gear (as track address). The material covers railways owned by the Finnish Transport Agency. The source system of the data is the track object management application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Management System (RATKO).
