Dataset description

The project carried out by the City of Helsinki (6.6.2017-1.6.2018) developed a digital information model that makes it even easier to process plan data. In the current state, the extraction, processing and transfer of plan data in different phases includes both file management and the transfer of eye-readable data for further use. Further processing is not only cumbersome, but also includes possibilities for errors or misinterpretation. By developing plan information, it is possible to better ensure the interoperability and readability of the data in real time, regardless of the phase of the planning process. The purpose of the project is to develop the information management of town plans so that the information serves as well as possible all stages of land use planning and improves the interoperability of information in terms of concepts, structures, technical distribution and the management of revisions. The aim of the development of data management is to obtain the life cycle of land use data from the perspective of all parties and to enable the utilisation of high-quality and reliable data through technologically modern open interfaces throughout the entire land use planning, construction and maintenance value chain.
