Dataset description

The Helsinki Surface Model data combines a 3D surface model describing the ground, ortho aerial photographs of the city and 3D buildings in Helsinki (accuracy level LOD1). The data cover the entire area of the City of Helsinki. The coordinate system of the data is ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879) and the height system N2000. The accuracy level of the building material (*Level of Detail*) is LOD1. The LOD1 precision level 3D construction model presents buildings as a simple cubic model material. The maintenance and location data of the data are based on the location data of the base map (nominal scale 1:500). The starting data for the maintenance of 3D building data are field measurements and laser scanning carried out by the city. The material can be downloaded from the Helsinki map service in SKP and KMZ formats.
