Helsinki Zoo visitor count

The data includes the daily visitor numbers of Korkeasaari Zoo from the beginning of 2010. The material includes tickets for adults and children, family tickets, free visits and visits with a Helsinki card (HK) and an annual card (VK). Visitors are also grouped by destination (Mustikkamaa/Kauppatori/Hakaniemi).In addition, campaign visits have been calculated separately. Promotional visits are special-priced visits in accordance with the agreements concluded with the partners. The data also includes comparative data for each year, as well as graphs of the number of visits in that year, comparison with the previous year, comparison by income plan, ratio of paid and free visits, total number of visits daily and monthly comparisons. The table shows the number of visitors by entry plan: Mustikkamaa/Kauppatori/Hakaniemi.The graphics compare the number of visitors arriving via waterborne traffic and the bridge. The history data is updated annually. The interpretation of the material should be taken into account: 1. The first bridge to Korkeasaari was completed in 1974. Before that, visitors came to the island by ferry or water buses alone. 2. Children under the age of 7 did not enter the statistics until 1990. 3. The sale of paper tickets was discontinued in 1999 and the use of the POS system was introduced, which made the statistics more reliable.
