An inventory of the most significant staircases in the cultural history of Helsinki produced by the Helsinki City Museum.
The material includes basic information on buildings, designers of buildings, verbal descriptions of the status of staircases, structures and fixed interior design, and information on the preservation of staircase rooms. The exact description of the data can be found in the Word file attached to the dataset.
The location of the buildings is both their addresses and their coordinate points. The coordinate system is ETRS-GK25.
The staircases include 19th-century apartment building staircases in the inner city, 20th and 1910s staircases in Punavuori and Kamppi, and staircases from the 1920s to 30s. The inventories were carried out in 2009-2011. The most valuable staircases in cultural history and architectural art are included.
