Housing floor area in new city plans in the Helsinki region 2012-2015

The material contains approved, legally valid and proposed city plans in the Helsinki region in a spatial data format. The data is open. The environmental services of the Helsinki Region have collected spatial data from 14 municipalities in the Helsinki region (Espoo, Helsinki, Kauniainen, Vantaa, Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Sipoo, Tuusula, Vihti) which have been used to monitor the achievement of the objectives of the Land Use, Housing and Transportation Agreement 2012-2015 in the Helsinki Region. The materials contain spatial information on town planning. The data were collected by calendar year for the years 2012-2015. The local plan data includes the town plan plans in the form of area geometry by plan phase. Only those town plans that have included the floor area of housing are described in the city plan sites. Open data has been produced on the basis of monitoring data and opened in summer 2016. The material is not updated. The materials are available in shp and tab formats and as a wms interface. Floor area = floor square meters, k-m² The difference between the figures presented in the quality data and the figures reported in the MAL monitoring in the Helsinki region is very small or non-existent.
