The map of the Helsinki metropolitan area is a generalised map of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The guide map is produced from the guide map data maintained by the municipalities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area by combining different materials into a uniform map. The combination is made by the city measurement services of the Helsinki urban environment industry. The Helsinki Metropolitan Area Guide Map covers the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen. The data is produced with the help of base map, address decisions, legally valid city plans, aerial photographs and other data sources. The data are constantly updated, the open data publication is implemented once a year. The guide map contains, among other things, the following information: nomination, streets, roads and railway connections, public buildings, apartment blocks, detached houses, industrial areas, forest and field areas, nature reserves and municipal boundaries. In addition, the map shows the names of districts and sub-regions, as well as some attractions and public services. The nominal scale of the data is 1:10 000. The guide map of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area will be published as a raster image file in TIF format.
