Industry noise zones in Helsinki

The data show the noise zones of the industry involved in the study, calculated using the noise indicators Lden and Lyö in accordance with the Environmental Noise Directive. The daily noise level, i.e. the night-night level, Lden is the weighted average sound level according to time of day. The greater disturbance of evening (from 19 to 22) and nighttime (22-07) noise is taken into account in the indicator by weighting the evening and nighttime noise by adding 5 dB to nighttime noise and 10 dB to nighttime noise. Annual noise levels Lden and night noise levels The night noise levels have been calculated at a height of 4 m above the ground. The results obtained by these indicators and the assessment methods under the Directive cannot be directly compared with national guide values or with results from other noise reports with different indicators and calculation heights used.
