Dataset description

This public administration recommendation defines the coordinate systems based on EUREF-FIN data, their inter-coordinate versions and the recommended coordinate conversions between EUREF-FIN and the map coordinate system (KKJ). This Recommendation also defines the map projections, level coordinate systems and map sheet distribution to be used with EUREF-FIN. The recommendation provides tools for the deployment of ETRS-TM35FIN and ETRS-GKN level coordinate systems, as well as related projection formulas and examples. This Recommendation replaces the JHS 154 ETRS89-related Map Projections, Level Coordinates and Map Sheet Distribution Recommendation. The recommendation is written in the format of the technical specification described in JHS 136. The requirements are separated from the rest of the text and the form of the claims is shown in bold. The requirements set out in this JHS Recommendation are not binding on public administration organisations. However, those who make use of the recommendation should take into account, inter alia, the INSPIRE legislation. The recommendation provides the tools for fulfilling INSPIRE regulations for coordinate systems.
