Kuopio 3D construction models

Kuopio’s 3D building models include buildings in Kuopio’s planning areas in the CityGML 2.0 format. The data was mainly produced from air laser scanning data for 2007, 2019, 2012 and 2017. The accuracy level of the data is LOD2. The material has been modelled on either wall lines or eaves lines. The buildings modelled on the wall lines lack real eaves, but the volume is in line with the actual volume of the building. The wall line information is based on the wall line measurements of the base map. All the buildings in the central schematic area are modelled along the wall lines. In the following agglomerations Vehmersalmi,Muuruvesi, Juankoski,Säyneinen,Tahko,Nilsia,Maaninka, Karttula and Käärmelahti are found in the following agglomerations. The volume of these buildings is greater than the actual volume of the building. The data for the central schematic area is maintained based on drone imaging and air laser scanning data. The data is available in CityGML 2.0 format and DWG format 2007. The coordinates of the data are ETRS-GK27(EPSG:3881) and N2000.
