MOT’s business support material 2010-2016

##How is the material compiled? The definition of MOT is derived from the TEM’s own Business Aid Report (7/2012). The data have been combined with the direct business subsidies of the TEM, Tekes, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Transport Agency, the Energy Market Authority and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which are public by law. ##What is included in YLE’s MOT’s business support material? The data compiled together data on the disbursements of various aid to enterprises over several years. The dataset contains information on the allocation of EUR 6.3 billion of direct aid to enterprises. We published the data for the first time in autumn 2012, since then the data has been updated annually. The amounts represent the money that has actually been transferred to corporate accounts. Please note that the time series also includes research and development subsidies paid by TEKES to research organisations and universities. They differ from other subsidies for the material in that they are not paid directly to the recipient company’s account, but are paid e.g. to the higher education institution, which uses it for joint projects between companies and research institutes.
