Dataset description

This dataset is related to Kela’s statistical database Kelasto’s dynamic report entitled ‘Beneficiaries of labour market support co-financed by the municipality and benefits paid’. The data has been summed up at the level of the whole country. There are annual data from 2006 and monthly and annual data starting from 2015. The most recent uptake category of days reimbursed for labour market support for the period of unemployment (Category OF TYRES) is given ‘Total’, ‘300-499’, ‘500-999’ and ‘1000’. A person may have belonged to more than one category during the month, but the amounts received and the subsidies paid are obtained from the material only once per month when the material is limited to ‘Total’. The material contains only the labour market subsidy that the municipalities are co-financed. There is no labour market subsidy paid for the period of employment-promoting services and no labour market subsidy financed entirely by the State. Between 2006 and 2014, municipalities financed 50 % of the unemployment allowance if the beneficiary’s unemployment allowance was at least 500 days. At the beginning of 2015, municipalities’ financial responsibility extended by at least 300 days to recipients of unemployment aid: the amount financed by the municipality is 50 % for those who have received 300-999 days and 70 % for those who have received aid for at least 1 000 days. If the data is divided into more than one csv file, the latest updated data can be found in the data.csv file. In other files, the file name indicates the years covered by this dataset.
