Orthodox photographs of Helsinki

Helsinki’s ortho aerial photographs from the last years and the 20th century are available through the geospatial data interface. In addition, aerial photographs from 1932-1988 have been published as open data. The Helsinki area is photographed from the air at regular intervals. Ortho aerial image (orthopic) is a rectified aerial image that depicts the surface perpendicular to the air and corrected for a plane map. The data have taken into account the restrictions in accordance with the Regional Surveillance Act and the instructions issued by the Defence Forces on the basis of it. ** Coordinate system(s):** — ETRS-GK25 (EPSG:3879).
