Provinces of Finland 2021 with 2018 provincial codes

This map data presents the regional division that will enter into force in 2021 with the 2018 regional codes. The data is based on the information provided by the Government in September 2018 and is still subject to change. Further information on the subject can be found on the Government’s website at https://alueuudistus.fi/maakunnat2021. The data is compatible with MML’s Municipality Division datasets. The georeferred data can be downloaded on scales 1:100 000, 1:250 000, 1:1 000 000 and 1:4 500 000 in two different versions: land-only plots presented and land and sea areas combined. The georeferred material is in a packaged form. In addition, the data is available as an unreferred PDF file. File formats of the material: 1) MapInfo MIF/MID 2) ESRI Shapefile 3) PDF file in three different versions (data content in brackets): Coloured A3 (Different counties with different colours, boundaries of counties in red, boundaries of municipalities in black, names of municipalities, 2018 regional codes and towns in dotted form) Colored A4 (Same data content as colored A3) Black-and-white A4 (Country boundaries with reinforced black line, boundaries of municipalities with thin black line, 2018 provincial codes, no municipality names and towns as dots)
