The data includes accounting lines related to the purchase of the services, materials, supplies, goods and other commodities of the City of Mikkeli from all the city’s industries. In addition, the data also include records related to the City’s financial expenditure. The information has been compiled from the city’s accounting system, and the documentation has been supplemented by e.g. e-IDs of journalists and nominations describing the organisational hierarchy, so that the information is as informative as possible for their users. The euro amounts shown in the report are exempt from VAT. Due to the provisions of the Data Protection Act, the purchase invoice information does not include payments made to individuals and business name entrepreneurs in so far as the supplier information is the name of a person or a business name containing the name of a natural person (Tmi). The dataset contains the following column information: buyer (City of Mikkeli), date of registration, voucher number, supplier number, supplier’s name, supplier’s business ID, number and name of the group of accounts, account number and name, amount, institution number and name, number and name of the area of performance and number and name of the cost centre. The data allow for the examination of purchase invoice data, for example by supplier, account, bank account group or level of interest in the organisational hierarchy. The data are updated once a year after the finalisation of the financial statements.
