Dataset description

Remote control refers to the central control of safety devices at traffic points in the track section from a single traffic control point. When the track is remotely controlled, trains are transported according to the visible signs on the railway signals and the starting permits are also issued by means of signals. The material covers railways owned by the Finnish Transport Agency. The source system of the data is the track object management application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Management System (RATKO).
