Dataset description

The data cover the road network maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency. Information is registered whenever a road section is first paved or when the category of paving is changed to another. The latter is usually accompanied by some structural improvement. The imaging technique is based on: Top Class 1 = concrete, 2 = stone, 10 = hard asphalt concrete, 20 = soft asphalt concrete, 30 = surface of gravel road, 40 = gravel wear layer
