Service areas for road users (data type 195)

The data cover the road network maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency. Basic information on resting and parking areas is included for the data type. The road address of the area directly associated with the road is determined by the centre of the area. The address of a separate area is the projection of the centre of the area on the road. The imaging technique is based on: The type of service area, which in itself guarantees a certain level of equipment, shall be coded under the service level and corresponding guidance as follows: 1 = rest area I (service area equipment, highest level), 2 = rest area II (basic equipment), 3 = private service area (equivalent to class 1, private service area outside a conurbation), 4 = parking area I (optional), 5 = parking area II (minimum equipment), 6 = loading area, 7 = platform, 8 = other area (e.g. heavy traffic inspection area)
