Dataset description

Track signs convey information to rail traffic and track management, and also provide information to people moving near the track. The signs of the track shall indicate the marker identification, position, reading direction, side, manufacturing number, type of mark, text, height, distance and structure of the installation, method of attachment, fastener, swivel (yes, no, not known), stopper, date of installation, year of manufacture, foundation, manufacturer, owner and additional information. The material covers railways owned by the Finnish Transport Agency. The source system of the data is the track object management application (RATKO) of the Track Infrastructure Management System (RATKO).
