Dataset description
The data cover the road network maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency.
Only permanent speed limits (no temporary or so-called variable speed limits) are registered for this data type. Variable speed limits and their validity periods can be registered for their own data type. Because in terrain it is not possible to distinguish temporary or variable speed limits from permanent ones, the nature of the restriction must be ensured from the speed limit decisions.
The imaging technique is based on: NOPRAJ limit value (km/h), NOPTAAJA 1 = limit is within the “agglomeration” mark
