The purpose of the glossary is to support the work of those translating Finnish legislation from Finnish to Swedish.
The glossary is aimed primarily at those who prepare, write and translate legislative proposals and other legislative texts, as well as those responsible for producing the Swedish-language texts of the state administration. In addition, Slaf is an excellent handbook for anyone who writes and translates legislative and administrative texts.
The glossary is compiled by the Government’s Swedish Language Board and is based on vocabulary published in previous editions of the manual. The vocabulary currently contains about 1,589 different words, phrases and phrases, and the vocabulary is constantly updated.
