Traffic calculation methods

The Transport Calculation Methods category of the wizard system belongs to the Traffic Data Register’s ID numbers and traffic data data set. The target category of traffic calculation methods did not exist separately in the Road Register. The target category describes the method used to calculate traffic volumes of homogeneous traffic. Although the traffic volume is reported for the cross-section of the entire road, the position of the calculation devices is given here by track. The data is transferred from the traffic estimation application to Tievelho while the traffic data (once a year) is also transferred. Fintraffic is responsible for producing the information. The data will be updated to Tievelho once a year in December-January.The characteristics descriptions of the vehicle’s data can be found here: in the United States. The data cover the road network maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency.
