Dataset description

The data includes a planning need area, which is an area outside the town planning area in Tuusula. A planning need area is a concept introduced by the Land Use and Building Act, which defines areas requiring detailed land use planning. Special measures should be taken to meet the needs related to the use of planning areas, such as the construction of roads, water pipes or sewers. Section 16(1) of the Land Use and Building Act provides for planning needs areas, the provisions of which also apply to the construction referred to in section 16(2). Article 72 of the MRL lays down the need for planning in the coastal area. The material will be updated if necessary. The material was created by cutting out of the area formed by the municipality of Tuusula the areas corresponding to the external borders of the urban areas.
