Vanda stads invånarbarometer

The data contains the responses of the City of Vantaa’s resident barometers for 2018 and 2020. The Vantaa resident barometer survey surveyed the satisfaction of Vanta residents with housing, residential areas, accessibility of services and mobility. Residents’ satisfaction has been studied twice in 2018 and 2020. The questionnaires consisted of seven different parts: household background information, housing and residential comfort, values and attractiveness of housing, services, mobility, recreation and outdoor activities, as well as decisions on moving and housing wishes. In addition, the 2018 resident survey also surveyed residents’ views on opportunities to participate and influence. The goal in the tenant barometers is to maintain comparability over time, but if necessary, the survey can be updated to meet the city’s data needs. Nine new questions have been added to the 2020 resident barometer and the answers options for four questions have been updated compared to the 2018 resident barometer. In addition, the “participation” section has been omitted as the Vantaa City Culture Division carried out a separate participation survey focusing on opportunities for participation and influencing in 2020. For data protection reasons, some background information of the respondents has been removed from the material. In addition, background response categories have been merged. The descriptions of the variables in the data can be found in the third tab of Excel files. Open answers are placed separately on another tab in a mixed order by region and empty rows have been removed. In addition, some open answers have been edited or deleted completely due to the respondent’s privacy or inappropriate language use. Edited or deleted items are marked in the material. ##2020 resident barometer The survey was sent to 2,000 seniors. Based on the response rates of the 2018 resident survey, the sample of the 2020 resident survey focused on younger age groups. Otherwise, the sample was random. Responses were collected between 2 December 2020 and 3 January 2021. It was possible to reply to the questionnaire in Finnish, Swedish or English. 611 responses were received to the 2020 resident survey. Responses were collected from 10 December 2018 to 18 January 2019. It was possible to reply to the questionnaire in Finnish, Swedish or English. The 2018 resident survey received 777 responses.
