Cours d'eau principal du Maroni délimité par les berges Françaises et Surinamaises, sans prise en compte des îlets puisque cartographiés dans une couche à part. Les référentiels hydrographiques étant insuffisants pour une bonne appréhension de l'armature urbaine et villageoise du Maroni, l'AUDeG à digitalisé à partir de la BD Ortho IGN 2005/2006 et de la mosaïque Spot 5 IGN 2007/2008 à 2,5 m sur les zones non couverte par ce 1er référentiel, l'emprise du cours d'eau principal du fleuve Maroni.
