Dataset Direct Download Service (WFS): Aquitaine: Ecoquartiers — Candidates and laureates for calls for projects 2009 and 2011

This dataset contains the location of EcoQuartiers candidates for the 2009 and 2011 call for projects in the Aquitaine region. An EcoQuartier is an urban development project that respects the principles of sustainable development while adapting to the characteristics of its territory. The department has a sustainable development benchmark. By awarding the EcoQuartier label, the ministry values exemplary operations, which throughout France allow residents to live in neighbourhoods, designed according to the principles of sustainable development. An EcoQuartier must respect all the principles of sustainable development by: — the need to do the project differently, involving all the actors of the city, from the citizen to the elected, but also through the provision of consultation and monitoring tools to guarantee the quality of the project in the long term and for use; — the contribution to the improvement of daily life, through the creation of a healthy and safe living environment for all inhabitants and users of public or private space, and which promotes living together; participation in economic and territorial dynamism; — promoting responsible management of resources and adaptation to climate change
