Geographical information of municipalities updated over water based on mergers, associations and name changes.
In recent years, the municipal landscape has evolved rapidly as the result of mergers.That is why the Departmental Directorate of Territories (DDT) provides a layer of information at a time T.
The data includes two fields: the INSEE number and the name of the municipality.
The DDT des Deux-Sèvres uses as INSEE number the number of the municipality designated as the capital of the new municipality as defined in the Prefectural Decree. The name is that of the present municipality or that of the new municipality (or that of the new municipalities merged for the year N+ 1).
