Dataset description

To facilitate the preservation of wetlands and their integration into water, biodiversity and spatial planning policies across Île-de-France, DRIEAT has been making available since 2010 the mapping of potential wetland alert envelopes that divide the region into several classes according to the probability of wetland presence. To do so, a set of data was cross-referenced, prioritised and aggregated. These wetland alert envelopes produced in 2010 were updated in 2021. The most recent data were added to the initial 2010 data: —of SAGE Orge-Yvette, Marne-Confluence, Yerres, Mauldre, 2 Morin, Croult-Enghien-Vieille-Mer and Bièvre; —of the Conservatoire Botanique National du Bassin Parisien (Source: National Botanical Conservatory of the Paris Basin (2019). The information layers of the National Botanical Conservatory of the Paris Basin — The flora and vegetation map of wetlands of Île-de-France, Version of 05/08/2019. http://cbnbp.mnhn.fr/cbnbp/observatoire/cartes.jsp#MH); —of the Association for the Valorisation of Nature Spaces of the Grand Voyeux. The hydrographic network and water bodies have also been updated by replacing the old data with the datasets of rivers and water bodies of France metropolitan BD topage® version 2019. These data have been integrated in their entirety. In addition to these additions, the alert envelopes increased from 5 classes in 2010 (classes 1 to 5) to 4 classes in 2021: A, B, C and D, the meanings of which are as follows: — Class A: Proven wetlands whose boundaries may need to be specified — Class B: Significant probability of wetlands, but wetness and boundaries remain to be verified and clarified. — Class C: Envelope outside the masks of the previous 2 classes, for which either information is missing or data indicate a low probability of presence of wetlands. — Class D: Non-wet: water body and hydrographic network. Be careful, classes A and B of alert envelopes are not exhaustive. It is possible to be in the presence of wetlands outside these two classes. Note that these alert envelopes are not regulatory in nature, they are informative in nature. For technical reasons, they only incorporate part of the cartographic work available in the territory of Île-de-France. Consultation of the original maps, including the SAGEs, remains essential, as well as the latest version of the inventories. Finally, it is advisable to view the data on a less accurate scale than 1/15 000 because the data format is initially raster (image). Please note that the pixelated contours of the alert envelopes are due to the construction of the card in raster format.
