Dataset description

This dataset contains the geographic location of ICPE sites with one or more aerofriger towers in the New Aquitaine region. PLEASE NOTE: this dataset is not complete on the New Aquitaine perimeter, it concerns the former Aquitaine region. NOTE: The accuracy of the location of the ICPE varies from one ICPE to another (location to the municipality, to the parcel or precise coordinates), the accuracy is noted for each ICPE in the information awarded. An aero-refrigerating tower (TAR) is an “air/water” heat exchanger in which the water to be cooled is in direct contact with the ambient air. The hot water is sprayed in the upper part of the aero-refrigerant tower and run over the exchange body. The air passes through the runoff system and is released into the atmosphere. Cooling is mainly carried out by evaporation of water; the efficiency of the system is linked to the design and maintenance of the aerorefriger tower and to atmospheric conditions (temperature and humidity). In 2004, following several cases of contamination with legionella bacteria, heading 2921 was created within the ICPE nomenclature. Following Decree No 2031-1205 of 14 December 2013, the installations for evaporative cooling by dispersion of water in an air flow generated by mechanical or natural ventilation (Aero-refrigerants = TAR) are classified under heading 2921 as follows: — Recording (E) -> when the maximum discharged heat output is greater than or equal to 3 000 kW, — Controlled declaration (DC) -> when the maximum discharged heat output is less than 3 000 kW. ARTs are regulated by ministerial decrees of 14 December 2013 which describe the general requirements applicable to such devices.
