Dataset description

The table L_ECO_QUARTIERS_S_075 delimits, in Paris, the urban development projects listed in the EcoQuartier approach and indicates the stage of the label (1, 2, 3 or 4) which they have validated. Where a project is subject to sector-specific labeling, most often to take account of the phase of the construction site, the table has as many records as sectors. Each is associated with the perimeter of the relevant EcoQuartier section and the years of validation of the different steps that are specific to this section. The name of EcoQuartier is the same for all its sectors. The EcoQuartier approach, implemented since 2008 by the Ministry of Housing and Sustainable Habitat, aims to foster the emergence of a new way of designing, building and managing the city sustainably. It covers all types of projects: new or urban renewal, renovation of sensitive neighbourhoods, operations in large agglomerations or in peri-urban and rural contexts. An EcoQuartier is an urban development project that respects the principles of sustainable development while adapting to the characteristics of its territory. An EcoQuartier must respect all the principles of sustainable development by: — the need to do the project differently, involving all the actors of the city, from the citizen to the elected, but also through the provision of consultation and monitoring tools to guarantee the quality of the project in the long term and for use; — the contribution to the improvement of daily life, through the creation of a healthy and safe living environment for all inhabitants and users of public or private space, and which promotes living together; participation in economic and territorial dynamism; — promoting responsible management of resources and adaptation to climate change.
