Dataset description

This layer presents at the grid scale 5 Km x5 Km the following information: • the French and Latin names of the species, • the regional red list status of the species, • the level of knowledge of the mesh • the year of the most recent data on the mesh. For a given mesh, there are as many superimposed polygons as known species on the perimeter. It is therefore possible to visualise the knowledge of the regional distribution by filtering the species. It is based on the data available in the databases of Chauve-Souris Auvergne and the Groupe Chiroptères de la LPO Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This is a state of knowledge, therefore, it is in no way exhaustive and does not replace dedicated land inventories in the context of a development project, for example. The level of knowledge is given as an indication. It is based solely on the number of species, according to three categories (less than 7 species: bad, less than 12: average and more than 12: good). These maps have the particularity of presenting data from the small/large murine species pair. The big murine data were associated with this couple. It is likely that in the majority of cases, the information relating to this couple corresponds to data of large murine even if the small murin cannot be excluded. The regional red list status (2015) is specified for each ex-region concerned. Anyone who needs more detailed information or support for the interpretation of these maps is invited to contact the structures that produced the data. Update of data: April 2021
