Dataset description

Following several green algae failed events in 2018 on the coast of Gouaro — Deva, Ifremer, IRD and BRGM joined forces to set up, on behalf of the southern province, a monitoring programme with the following objectives: — to quantify and discriminate the routes of enrichment of the Poe lagoon that could lead to the proliferation of primary producers in this sector. — to propose decision support tools to anticipate or control the recurrence of the phenomenon. The full dataset shows several releases of drifting buoys (Pacific Gyre) carried out between 04 and 06 of February 2019 allowing the observation of trajectories, speeds and surface temperatures.
