Dataset description

A Fish Category Ranking is a legal classification of rivers and water bodies according to the dominant fish groups. Article L.436-5 of the Environmental Code defines the concept of classification of Fish Category. The concepts of public/privacy and authorised fishing or not are not included in this division. This cutting does not apply to closed waters or fish farms either. The founding regulatory text of a Piscicole Category Classification is the decree taken by the Prefect of Department. —1st category: waters mainly populated by trout, as well as those where special protection of fish of this species appears desirable. —2nd category: all other waters subject to the provisions of the Order.
