Landes: Land use, CLC 1990

The geographic database CORINE Land Cover is produced under the European Co-ordination of Environmental Information Programme CORINE. The continuity of this programme and the dissemination of data are led by the European Environment Agency.In France, Ifen is responsible for producing, maintaining and disseminating it. The CORINE Land Cover 2000, known as CLC 2000, was based on satellite images from 2000. It is a real reference point for land use, better “calé” on the map of the IGN, and close to the date of the population censuses (1999) and of agriculture (2000). A first version of the database, known as CLC 1990, was made from images acquired between 1987 and 1994. It has been corrected for better comparisons with CLC 2000.
