The CLPA is an informative document that has no regulatory value and has no forward-looking analysis of the institution. The CLPA is designed to inform all those interested in the existence of avalanches in a given region. A technical document, it is particularly aimed at Mayors and administrative or technical departments concerned with the problems of natural hazards in mountain areas. The CLPA includes a mapping document at 1/25 000 supplemented by MSDS. The CLPA map represents three information themes: the result of an aerial photo study (photo-interpretation and field analysis); the proceeds of a collection of testimonies by investigation; and, for information purposes, fixed protective devices
