Management perimeters of the Direction de la Highways de Rennes Métropole

On 1 January 2015, by application of the MAPTAM Law of 27 January 2014, Rennes Métropole was transferred the road competence previously exercised by the municipalities. On 1 January 2017, on the basis of the NOTRe law of 7 August 2015, the Métropole was transferred the road authority previously exercised by the department over the departmental roads of the 43 municipalities of the Métropole. This competence covers the public domain of roads and its dependencies. To ensure its competence, particularly in the field of exploitation, the Métropole has been structured around 4 Platforms called Platform Rennes, Platform Sud, Platform Nord-Ouest and Platform East.
