Dataset description

Base:Prefectural Decree of 30 March 2015 laying down permanent regulations for the compulsory brushing and maintenance in cleared condition in the Var department. Update in January 2019 on the municipality of St Mandrier via analysis made from the BDOrtho de l’IGN (PVA 2017), the BDFORET V2 of the IGN. Updated on 01/10/2018 on the municipality of La Seyne sur Mer: Revision of areas that may be subject to the legal requirements of brushing by analysis based on IGN BDOrtho (PVA 2017), IGN BDFORET V2 and field findings. Clearing is compulsory in forested municipalities whose forests are either classified by administrative decision as particularly vulnerable to fires or included in the forest areas listed by the Forest Code and located in the Aquitaine, Corsica, Languedoc-Roussillon, Midi-Pyrénées, Poitou-Charentes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur regions, and the departments of Ardèche and Drôme. The definitions of plant formations and the zoning procedure are contained in circular DERF/SDF/C2002-3017 of 24 September 2002. These areas are demarcated when drawing up the plan for the protection of forests against fires or on the basis of a specific study with regard to classified wood (outside the scope of Article L. 321-6 of the Forest Code).
