Map Viewing Service (WMS) of the dataset: Areas where the noise limit values are exceeded on the Jura (areas of type C — index type LN)

These maps also referred to as “type c maps” represent the parts of territories likely to contain buildings exceeding the limit values referred to in Article L571-6 of the Environmental Code and laid down by Article 7 of the Order of 4 April 2006. For roads, the limit values correspond to a Lden of 68 dB(A) and a Ln of 62 dB(A). For conventional railways, the limit values correspond to a Lden of 73 dB(A) and a Ln of 65 dB(A). The noise level on a noise map is represented on the basis of regulatory indicators: the “Ln” (Level night) (indicator used for this geographical layer) and the “Lden” (Level day-evening-night) which are harmonised indicators at European level. The Ln is the average sound level for the night period (22h-6h). The Lden is the 24-hour weighted average sound level to account for the perceived discomfort with the same noise level, which is greater in the evening and at night compared to the day.
