The “Remarkable Heritage Sites” (SPRs) replace the safeguarded sectors, the ZPPAUPs and the AVAPs: they are classified (or enlarged) by the state after public inquiry and consultation with local authorities. The remarkable heritage sites concern towns, villages or neighbourhoods as well as their landscapes and rural spaces whose conservation, restoration, rehabilitation or enhancement presents, from a historical, architectural, archaeological, artistic or landscape point of view, a public interest. “Remarkable heritage site” is automatically classified as “Remarkable Heritage Site” the areas saved, the APAPAs (but with restoration of the approaches to historical monuments beyond the perimeter of the RPS) and the approved AVAPs. The same applies to AVAPs under study once they are approved. ZPPAUP and AVAP may be modified but not revised. Remarkable heritage sites have an MVSP and/or an architecture and heritage enhancement plan (PVAP, “super” AVAP, even if the need for the environmental component has been removed). These sites generate the AC4 easement generator.
