Dataset description

This dataset contains the administrative areas (surface objects) of the Pyrenees National Park for the region New-Aquitaine. The Pyrenees National Park consists of six administrative areas that cover the Core Zone and the Optimal Area of Accession: — The sector of Aspe (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) — The sector of Ossau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques) — The sector of Azun (Hautes-Pyrénées) — The sector of Cauterets (Hautes-Pyrénées) — The sector of Luz (Hautes-Pyrénées) — The Aure sector (Hautes-Pyrénées) The boundaries of the sectors correspond to administrative boundaries of municipalities, with three exceptions (Communities of Estaing, Campan and Bagnères de Bigorre). Field staff are located in each sector, under the responsibility of a sector head. The guards’ offices are located in the heart of the valleys: — Bedous for the area of Aspe — Laruns and Gabas for the Ossau sector — Arrens-Marsous for the Azun sector — Cauterets for the Cauterets sector — Luz-Saint-Sauveur and Gèdre for the Luz sector — Saint-Lary for the Aure sector Field agents implement the policy of the Pyrenees National Park in their area, in relation to the headquarters of the national park located in Tarbes.
