Dataset description

Catchment Feeding Area Protection Area (PAC) defined by regulation, where action programs for farmers and landowners are to be implemented to protect all or part of the foraging area from agricultural pressures (diffuse pollution or irrigation sampling) In response to the requirements of the Water Framework Directive, the Water and Aquatic Environments Act of 30/12/06 strengthened the control of diffuse pollution of agricultural origin by creating protection zones for catchment feeding areas. The implementation of this new resource protection system leads to the delineation of catchment foraging areas (AAFCs), sometimes also referred to as catchment feeding basins (BACs), which include AAFC protection areas. The protection zone is defined by crossing the mapping zoning of intrinsic vulnerability and zoning of agricultural pressures. In the case of surface water abstractions, the definition of a protection zone within the watershed upstream of the intakes is based on the identification of flows (running, drainage, drainage, flow ditches, exchanges between alluvial aquifers and rivers) and identification, through a territorial diagnosis of agricultural pressures and areas likely to play the most important role in the degradation of the water resource. The data do not allow the replenishment of a substantial part of the repository used for the input.
